At the 2019 paint and watercolor exhibition 'Salon du Dessin et de la Peinture à l'Eau', Grace Hye presented a large-scale diptych work. However, only one of the two parts was actually on display.
Using Chinese ink and her signature hide-and-seek-style technique, she symbolically portrayed the contradictions rocking society. She expresses the conflicts of modern society in natural and sincere language, and suggests a journey of emotions and customs like a safari to the conflicts of our time. It is a highly refined artistic expression, drawn in an almost innocent style, but rich in symbolism and metaphor. It is a work that makes you expect to discover deep meanings along with the depth hidden behind the initial interpretation stage.
